One of the most clear examples of simply being being outclassed I have ever witnessed! Reading is not a bad club by any means... they cruised to the Championship title a year ago and have shown great quality so far in the Premiership. That said, you could simply watch each little matchup on the pitch and see the talent premium on the Gunners side. Man for man, pass for pass, it was just 2 different levels of football taking place on the same field! It could have been 5 or 6 nil easily... The boys are getting their form and are looking even more impressive at times than they were at the end of last term! With Man U taking out Liverpool it is starting to look more and more like a 3-way clash for top of the table. We are 5 behind with a game in hand and a win already at Old Trafford. Tottenham looked better this weekend but not particular good still. Time will tell, we should be in this thing all the way!
I said I had a word on the NBC show Studio 60 ... not really being a fan of comedic arts or entertainment (except that in obvious bad taste / of objectionable moral fiber) I in no way expected to "like" this show... it is Great! The writing and acting are top shelf! Who woulda thunk Matthew Perry becomes the critically acclaimed ex-Friends darling!... he is fantastic! No really!
Check it out...
On the My Chemical Romance record (...Black Parade)... Though still not enough spins to give final impression, it's like this: They were previously a hard / fast / tight rock n' roll band with a splash of theater... they are now a theatrical band with a splash of hard / fast / tight rock n' roll... not to say they have , God forbid, Sold Out!... just seems their maturation is taking them away from what initially attracted me to them. They are probably still better than 90% of the drivel out there, but taking a path I might not follow. Yes, I'm old, and frankly quite happy with that taking into account the cultural contributions of the current 20 something set!
I am curious about the coming post-Blink182 band +44 (after UK calling code) and their debut record. Blink put out perhaps their most complete / mature album and then broke up. 2 of them continue with this new band and word has it they are taking a "carry on where Blink left off" attitude which is a good thing. hmmm...
Michael Schumacher's amazing F1 career ended yesterday with a 4 place in Brazil! I was never a big fan, but he was truly a master regardless of where you stand. Alonso got his second World Championship and now heads over to McLaren for next season... Massa won the finale and will have a load of pressure next year to keep Ferrari near the top!
Ok, off to work then, g'day!
