on a possibly happier note... I, after much prodding, have joined the madness and shall write a novel in November. It's the Annual NaNoWrimo and I joined 2 days in so I need to average around 1,600 words a day. It will likely be shite or I'll win the Pulitzer. The good $$$ is on the former I gather. Either way my goal is to get at least 50,000 words down and then see what I am left with. Worst case scenario is I come out feeling pretty jazzed and maybe have some bits and pieces that are good enough to start rewriting / editing into a better final product.
I have no characters or plot going in. Will see what happens on the 30th. This could get ugly.
